Another great week here in Daveyton! Things are continuing to pick


up more and more. I am loving this area so much!


We were able to meet with Siziwe and his family finally this week
It has been a struggle of 3 weeks since we first came in contact
with them and were able to make it happen on Wednesday. We had
a sweet lesson with them on the Atonement and were able to
really gain their trust! They are so awesome and have high hopes for them!


On Friday and Saturday we spent a lot of time doing lessons with some

 investigators on commitment and what we expect to see out of them! 

Some of the people really understood and we were able to get Numkile

 to church along with a Mother and her two kids from it! We had an 

amazing lessons with the Hlope family on Temples and they loved it! 

The spirit was so strong in that house and they set a goal as a family 

to make it to the temple together!


In 1 Peter 1:7 it talks about how the trials of our faith are more precious than 

Gold. It really helped me to just take a moment this past week and reflect on 

some of the trials that I have faced so far in my life and I realized how truly 

grateful I am for them! I have learned so much from them and I would not be 

the person I am with out them. I am thankful for a loving Father in Heaven 

who gives us trials to make us more than who we think we can become!

Sundays Baptism

Dec. 1, 2014

My new comp is sweet! His name is Elder Smally. He is from South Carolina 

and is a ton of fun to be around. He played football and basketball back home 

and loves to gym. (we are the same) haha.

. We had Ndivhu's baptism on Sunday which went so well. She asked me to 

baptise her and it was such a great experience. She felt the spirit so strongly 

and bore and incredible testimony afterwards. She has truly well on the way 

of her conversion process!

We have been able to work with a few new less actives and were able to get 

some part member families from it which has been nice. Hospital view is 

continuing to grow and grow.

In my studies I really like 1 Corinthians 15:10. Paul here says "By the Grace of 

God I am what I am." I love that statement and how true is it for each of us! I 

am so grateful for the enabling power that I am able to receive every minute of 

everyday to help transform and mold me into what Heavenly Father wants me

 to be! Let us all strive to access it daily this week!

Elephant Fun!

Nov. 24, 2014

This past week has flown by!! It seems like I was just barely emailing home! 

Time is going by way too fast! We started off the week great with playing 

with Elephants and then time just went faster and faster.

Our investigators are doing incredible.... I think the biggest sign of their 

conversion is the missionary work that they are doing! Ndivhu hands out 

tons of book of Mormons every week... we just give her a few at every visit. 

She is also inviting her friends to church and will have a big turnout this week 

at her baptism! Thabo is sharing with the gospel with everyone he talks to.

 He always has a new story to tell us about what he is sharing. Basadi and 

Sunday brought their friend to church on Sunday also! 

Elder Smith-Holley and I are getting split up though tomorrow. It's sad because 

we built the area up together and worked really hard, but it is what the Lord wants. 

I will be training again and will be the District Leader again. The main focus I was 

 to have was to get them to enjoy mission... too many people here aren't enjoying 

when it should be the happiest time of your life! 

A scripture I really liked was in 1 Corinthians 9:14. It is a really simple scripture that 

states that "they that preach the Gospel, should Live the Gospel." As members of 

the church we have the responsibility to open our mouths and share this wonderful 

news to all around us! If we are not, we are failing! It's that straightforward and in 

order for us to share it with the Holy Ghost bearing witness to them we need to be

living the gospel! I promise that as we open our mouths, they shall be filled! Let us 

live up to our responsibility as members and thereby also live up to our privileges!

Nov. 17, 2014

This past week has been incredible! The PEC meeting went great and 

we have a direction now of what we need to do together! 

There has been a lot of small miracles this past week! Basadi and

 Sunday are progressing a ton and he told us that next time we come 

back we will "see a new person in him." Thabo has made some great

 friends in the church and they are doing things together during the week.

He has a problem with the LOC, but before we even started teaching it he

 said he has already started the process of taking care of his marriage! 

Ndivhu passed her interview :) Mj has received some answers from prayer 

about what to do to get sundays off and if it doesn't work she is commtted 

to quit! I am so grateful for the help of the Lord! 

I have to be short today because of time... we are going to play with some 

elephants and will have to head soon!

Temple Trip

This past week has been super busy! We have been running from 

appointment to appointment and trying to keep up with everything! 

We have some sweet new investigators. One is a husband and wife... 

the husband has dreads so that is an added bonus! haha. They know 

the bible very well and are very high up in their church so we will see 

what happens. We also found another man named Peter. He was really 

interested in the BoM and is almost done already! 

Our Investigators made a lot of progress this past week! MJ and Thabo 

both have received a definite answer of the truthfulness of these things! 

We fasted with MJ so that she can get sundays off or be able to find a new 

job. Thabo bore his testimony to us and was so thankful for the "Revelation" 

that has come into his life... He is so grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith!

 Ndivhu is continuing to progress and sends us a message after church every

 time about how much she loves it. Basadi and Sunday are kinding of starting 

to just cruise so we had a good lesson with them last night to get them going again. 

We were able to go to the temple on Friday which was incredible! It was my favorite 

temple trip so far. I felt a peace like never before and truly felt the saviors love. 

We had a meeting with the Bishop to get things going. We are going to get a list 

of people to focus on and have some ideas to get the members going with

 missionary work! 

In my study I loved Acts 17:27-29. It talks about seeking the Lord, How we are 

His offspring, and how we need to no think of Him as a graven image! One of the 

things I took for granted back home was the knowledge that we have of God and 

the Godhead. I love teaching it and helping others to come to a knowledge so that 

they can truly come closer to and know God.

Rainy Season

This past week has been really good! A lot of work still ahead 
of us to get the area to where it should be, but we will get it there! 

Our Inv are doing really good! We are still trying to help Sunday 
to quit smoking... We are going to have a fast with him this weekend! 
MJ is still looking for a job. Ndivhu is progressing well and is fitting in perfectly
 with the YSA. We also found an incredible new investigator named Thabo. I 
was going through our area book and saw his teaching record. He seemed 
golden and it seemed like he kind of fell through the cracks.. we contacted
him and he is powerful! The Lord definitely blessed us to be able to find him! 

It looks like our ward is going to turn into a branch... We are going to have a 
ward council with the stake this week to discuss it all. Not very many people show 
up to church... during the second speakers talk I received a note that I was the third 
speaker yesterday! haha.  It is officially the rainy season here as well! We have had 
a couple of HUGE storms that leave the area flooded. In my study this past week Acts 
10:20 really stood out to me. In this story Peter was told by the spirit that he needed to 
go with three men that would show up at his house. The scripture said he went 
"Doubting Nothing" We need to as well "Doubt Nothing" and follow the prompting
/revelation we receive from the spirit and response to humble prayer. As we act in
 faith the Lord will trust us with more and more promptings to be an instrument in
 His hands!
